Here are a few of the highlights from the weekend:
Saturday Morning Session
President Thomas S. Monson |
Announcement of new temples, a new Church policy regarding missionary service, and a call for many more senior couples. |
||
Sister Ann M. Dibb |
“I'm a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it.” She said it is important to be confident in Church membership, just like the apostle Paul who said, “...I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. . . .” |

Saturday Afternoon Session
Elder M. Russell Ballard |
“Great things are brought about and burdens are lightened through the efforts of many hands anxiously engaged in a good cause.” |
||
Elder Dallin H. Oaks |
Declared the importance of protecting and caring for the world’s children. All are under the Savior’s command to love and care for each other—and especially for the weak and defenseless. |

Sunday Morning Session
President Henry B. Eyring |
“But the pavilion that seems to intercept divine aid does not cover God; it occasionally covers us. God is never hidden, but sometimes we are, covered by a pavilion of motivations that draw us away from God and make Him seem distant and inaccessible.” |
||
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland |
“The voice of Christ comes ringing down through the halls of time asking each one of us, while there is time, 'Do you love me?' And for every one of us I answer with my honor and my soul,'Yea, Lord, we do love thee.' And having set our hand to the plough, we will never look back until the work is finished and that love of God and neighbor rules the world.” |
||
President Thomas S. Monson |
“I have found that, rather than dwelling on the negative, if we will take a step back and consider the blessings in our lives, including seemingly small, sometimes overlooked blessings, we can find greater happiness,” |
||
|
|||
Sunday Afternoon Session
Elder Richard G. Scott |
“But what about you?” he questioned. “Have you prayed about your own ancestors' work? Set aside those things in your life that don't really matter. Decide to do something that will have eternal consequences. |
||
Elder David A. Bednar |
“Fundamental components of a testimony are knowing that Heavenly Father lives and loves us, that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and that the fullness of the gospel has been restored to the earth in these latter days.” |
