Banbury Collect Stamps for Oxfam and Leukaemia CARE

Members of the Banbury congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and their friends, have been busy collecting used stamps which are donated to Oxfam and Leukaemia CARE after they have been prepared. The preparation involves cutting excess envelope from around the stamps, sorting into UK and overseas, and finally counting and bagging them.

The project has provided people with the opportunity to socialise with each other while they provide the charitable service and people of all ages have been involved. The Banbury stamp appeal is part of a bigger appeal which covers all of the congregations in the greater Coventry area. This television broadcast explains the project.
