Dunfermline member receives Young Banker of the Year Award

Jamie Broadbent of Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc, a local family man and member of the Dunfermline congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has been named as the 2014 Deloitte Young Banker of the Year.  He was named the winner at an award dinner at the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh.

The Deloitte Young Banker of the Year awards 2014 commenced at the end of last year when the Chartered Banker Institute invited nominations from across the financial services industry.

Launched in 1987 by the Chartered Banker Institute, the awards, which have been supported by Deloitte for the last 13 years, recognise and reward those individuals who reflect the qualities of customer-focused, ethical professionalism promoted by the Institute and expected by society.

After scooping this year’s title, Broadbent was presented with the Deloitte Young Banker of the Year 2014 trophy and a voucher for an overseas holiday for two.

Craig Cosham, financial services partner at Deloitte, says: “Congratulations must go to Jamie on becoming our 2014 Young Banker of the Year. The focus on innovation really shone through the four presentations and the finalists should all be very proud of their efforts.

“However, the originality and insight exhibited by Jamie really set him apart. Jamie is a credit to Royal Bank of Scotland and I am sure he has a long and rewarding career ahead of him.”
