Hyde Park Visitors' Centre - A Respite of Beauty and Peace

Amidst bustling city sights and sounds of contemporary London stands the Hyde Park Visitors’ Centre, a respite of beauty and peace. By stepping inside visitors are invited to enjoy interactive displays, a cinema featuring inspirational films, and guided tours explaining the doctrinal beginnings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Most striking of the features of the building is the welcoming Christus statue which stands in the glassed foyer signifying the loving acceptance and mercy of the Saviour.  It is a place where individuals have the opportunity to feel the welcoming spirit of hospitality and to learn more about the teachings of Jesus Christ.

By maintaining an international presence in the dynamic city of London, an international icon of commerce and culture, this particular structure not only houses the Visitors’ Centre but also functions as the headquarters for the London Mission, chapel for three congregations, ecclesiastical offices, and a Self-Reliance Centre. Within the walls of the Hyde Park Visitors’ Centre, visitors are also welcome to participate in a variety of scheduled events which may include concerts, blood drives, athletic events, musical performances, firesides, and a myriad of church sponsored activities. Currently being featured is “Meet the Mormons,” a full length movie introducing six individual members and their life’s decisions and choices.  Copies of the Book of Mormon are available as well as other literature for those who express interest.
