London Live TV begins weekly Music & the Spoken Word broadcasts

Beautiful music and messages of hope, provided by the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, will be broadcast each Sunday on London Live, the capital’s TV station. Music & the Spoken Word began broadcasting in 1929 and it is the longest continuous running broadcast on the air today. Even during challenging times like World War II and the Covid pandemic, the programme has been aired faithfully each week.

The broadcast started small with only a single microphone for the organ, the choir, and the announcer.  Originally broadcast to only 30 stations, this award-winning programme is now heard around the world.  Announcer Lloyd Newel provides messages of hope and optimism and the 360 member choir provides joyful and inspiring music. The programmes will be broadcast on London Live every Sunday evening at 5:30 PM.

London Live broadcasts to the London area with a monthly viewership of more than 3,000,000.
