Missing Letters NHS Blood Donor Campaign

For more than 10 years now The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the UK has been supporting the NHS Blood Donation services by encouraging donor sessions to be held in LDS (Mormon) Meetinghouses. In 2015, 275 sessions were held in UK LDS Meetinghouses, up and down the country, where more than 21,000 blood donations were made.

D_ S_METHING _M_ZING; GIVE _L__D.  Now, in support of the NHSBT’s ‘Fill the Gaps’, ‘Missing Letters’ awareness campaign (where the letters ‘a’, ‘b’ and ‘o’ – the three main blood types are omitted) to draw attention to the need for new and returning donors to come forward, Church leaders encourage members to consider donating blood and ‘Doing something amazing’ for those who need emergency transfusions.  Members and friends can register to become a donor by clicking on the links in the NHSBT graphic shown.
