New Europe Area Presidency Begins Service 

Effective August 1, 2021, Elder Massimo De Feo began his service as the new President of the Europe Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Elder Erich W. Kopischke is serving as First Counsellor and Elder Ruben V. Alliaud as Second Counsellor.

Elder De Feo said, “The future is bright as we follow the sure path of the Lord” and added, “We want to share the good news of the gospel with all of God’s children. We want to invite all of His children to participate in the joy the gospel brings.” Elder De Feo was born in Taranto, Italy on December 14, 1960. He married Loredana Galeandro in August 1984, and they are the parents of three children. 

Elder Erich W. Kopischke, from Germany, has served the people of the Europe Area for many years.  He is now serving as the First Counsellor in the Presidency. He said, “Through challenging times, we learn to turn to the Lord for our strength. Faith in the Lord is a sure promise of a bright future.”  

Elder Rubén V. Alliaud, the new member of the Europe Area Presidency, is a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He will serve as the Second Counsellor in the Presidency. He commented, “As we trust in the Lord, He will speak peace to our souls and lead us through challenging times. I am certain that the Lord knows his children and wants them to enjoy the blessings of the restored gospel.”
