During the evenings of Monday – Thursday (5-8 December) Christmas music will herald the arrival of Santa on board a decorated float as he makes his way through the Danestone residential housing scheme. His gift to the community will be a cheery ‘Ho,ho,ho’, a wave and a smile, and in return his helpers will ask for donations for the Erkine Hospital who provide care for armed forces veterans in Scotland.
The annual event is organised by members of the local congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who, thanks to the generosity of the residents during the past 15 years, have presented all of the contributions to various charities.
