As part of the #LightTheWorld Christmas service campaign from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints members of Stockport congregation decided to help the plight of the homeless throughout Manchester. Partnering with Manchester Street Angels and Waitrose they collected over 200 shoeboxes for delivery to homeless people. This was improved as members utilised social media and friends or family to produce boxes. Within the boxes were items of convenience including ring pull food, toiletries and essential clothing like gloves and socks.
