Timothy J. Dyches

Elder Timothy J. Dyches was sustained a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 6, 2013, at age 62. At the time of his call, he was serving in the presidency of a ward Young Men organization.

Elder Dyches attended Brigham Young University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in university studies. He received his medical degree and specialty training at Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1985 he began a private practice performing ear, nose, and throat surgery until 2008. In 2012 he was made vice president of operational development at Ambulatory Surgical Centers of America.

Elder Dyches has served in numerous Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Germany South Mission (1970-1972), ward clerk, Sunday School president, high councilor, stake president’s counselor, stake president, temple ordinance worker, stake mission president’s counselor, Area Seventy, president of the Oregon Portland Mission (2008-2011), and deacons quorum adviser.

Timothy John Dyches was born in Murray, Utah, in January 1951. He married Jill Elizabeth Dudley in April of 1974. They are the parents of three children and grandparents to twelve grandchildren, and they reside in Reno, Nevada.
