Members of the Tunbridge Wells congregation recently took part in a Helping Hands project to clear an overgrowth of laurel in the Victorian Sherwood Estate, near Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
The laurel had originally been planted in the lake and woodland area but has since become overgrown. The group worked under the direction of Nick Robinson, Senior Partnership Officer of the Kent High Weald Partnership, to clear the area of the overabundance of laurel.
Young and old members contributed, with the children participating in craft lessons, where they learned how to weave willow twigs, and fishing in the lake.
