'From Cumorah's Hill' is a musical presentation for chorus, soloists and readers, written by Steven Kapp Perry. It refers to the hill where a prophet buried a record of ancient scriptures in 420AD. These were discovered in 1823 and translated into English.
Three months of rehearsals enabled a high quality performance of mixture of music and the spoken word.
More than 700 attendees, over two nights, including members, people learning about the Church and members who had not attended for a long time.
A Facebook web page was maintained during the three-month build up to the performances, enabling interaction with a wide audience.
Composer Steven Kapp Perry lent his support to Leeds Stake, posting a message on Facebook, saying: "Give my best to the entire production crew and choir in Yorkshire."

The choir was led by Lyn Slater, a member of the Leeds Stake and wife of Steven Slater, who was called as branch president of the recently formed Skipton Branch. Piano accompianiment was provided by Richard Radcliffe from Keighley.
The event has been recorded by a professional sound technician for distribution to opinion formers, as well as participants and attendees.
