Aberdeen Mormons raise funds for MND on Santa Float

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Aberdeen once again raised money with their annual Santa Float by the Bridge of Don congregation which ran from 7th December - 18th December and managed to raise well over £4000.00.

The funds were raised for Motor Neurone Disease Scotland in memory of local member, 58 year old Keith Turnbull, who died last year from MND.  In the summer of 2013 members of the Church in Aberdeen carried and pushed Keith up Bennachie in an adapted wheelchair, as it was his dream to reach the summit of Bennachie.  Jim Dressel and his grandaughter, along with 27 other friends and neighbours took part in a climb up Mount Kilimanjaro in September of this year raising more than £158,000 for the charity.
