Eilidh Whiteford, MP for Banff and Buchan, was delighted to be invited to play a role as a narrator at the Christmas Carol Service Mintlaw, held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Scotland. The traditional service telling the Christmas story, incorporated musical numbers by a choir, a family ensemble by the Coull family, a duet by Heather Currie and Linda Beverley, and was very well received. However, the congregational singing was especially enthusiastic and joyful when they joined the choir in singing ‘O Holy Night’.

Despite the bitterly cold weather, the whole Banff and Buchan area was represented as people travelled from Peterhead, Boddam, Cruden Bay, Ellon, Fraserburgh, Banff, and the Turriff area to join together in celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Church representative, William Dunbar, expressed appreciation for Eilidh Whiteford giving service to the community in this way at such a busy time and on such a cold night.
